Marani hosts wine-tasting masterclass for studentsJune 6, 2013
1 June, 2013_ Marani hosted a master-class in wine tasting skills at its premises.
The master-class was a comprehensive event where students had an opportunity to get exhaustive information about the art of wine-tasting. They judged a few wines against smell, sight and taste and discussed the distinctive features of different wines. The master-class was led by the leading wine-professionals at the Marani Wine Quality Control Department.
This year master-class at Marani was attended by the 6 students from Telavi State University, Faculty of Food Technology. Besides tasting first-class wines of Marani, they had a tour around the Marani premises and argued about the specifics of Georgian Wine in general.
Sopho Sikhuashvili, II year student of Food Technology: “I am totally impressed. It feels as if today I have re-discovered the phenomenon of wine. I will be happiest if I will again have a chance to attend the kind of an event at Marani”.
“It is the fifth year I have been studying wine-making and only today I have had a chance to attend the master-class in professional wine-tasting. Today’s experience is the most important and very pleasant one in the field I feel so committed about”, confesses Lasha Gegechkori, I year master of Food Technology.
This tradition was set up at Marani this year and it will continue regularly. |
